Partnerships

The Cambridgeshire Probation Area takes an active and positive role on the Cambridgeshire Criminal Justice Board. The Board, made up from all agencies working within the criminal justice system, has made major improvements in efficiency and the quality of service provided throughout the criminal justice system in Cambridgeshire. This includes the service to victims and witnesses.

Of equal importance has been our work with the Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and District Authorities and the Health Trusts providing better ‘joined up’ services for tackling drug abuse and prolific and persistent offenders.

The protection of the public is most effective when strong partnerships exist between agencies and recent important developments in interagency work enable us to make an important contribution to the many partnerships operating within Cambridgeshire.

We work in partnership with a range of organisations to meet the needs of offenders, including education, accommodation, employment, and drugs and alcohol treatment.
